Dragonball:Evolution

  • Fox/Director James Wong’s adaption of Dragonball based on the King Piccolo saga anime series hit over 2000 screens and drew in over $10 million over last weekend from the Asian market. Before both the UK and US premiers. China and Japan gross over 3.3 million; in China opened #1, Japan as #2, but numbers yet to come in ranked #1 in Korea. Also ranking #1 in Hong Kong ($480,000), Malaysia ($730,000), Singapore ($380,000), and Thailand ($520,000). UK open on April 3 and in the US on April 8.

  • Shonen Jump magazine will feature Hollywood’s Dragonball Evolution fold-out in its next month issue. Hitting the stands on March 31.

Mad Max

Mad Max game that was announce last March is still in the conceptual planning stages of the game. Cory Barlog (God of War II) and George Miller (Mad Max 1-3) working together. Based on the unfilmed Mad Max:Fury Road script.  The fouth Mad Max from Australian writer, George Miller to feature the film in 3D and his adaption of anime for mainstream western audience in the feature. The movie is based on the fourth script in 2003, but due to the weaken US dollar due to the Iraq war, production was dropped. Along with the video game in the writing and design stage. Both in the early stages of development.

G.I. Joe Video Game

The 45 years old action figure franchise is coming back for the next generation. In association with Hasbro and EA upcoming GI Joe Game is based on the upcoming movie G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. The live action movie coming out this August. The video game starts off where the movie leaves off with12 playable character. Unique abilities and weapons. Single-screen co-op mode, high-tech gadgets, along with Corbra vehicles and elite team to call on for reinforcements. Coming out on major platforms and handheld platforms including mobile devices. Along with reigniting the properties coming out this year with new toy line.
